Fiverr is the most popular gig/micro job site on internet. Most of you reading this post have probably already heard about Fiverr before and you’ve probably even earned some money from Fiverr. We can all agree that Fiverr is a great site for those looking to earn money on their spare time or even full-time. Sadly, it can be hard to get a gig selling at first because there are so many positively reviewed people selling the same gigs as you. So, what can you do to start getting more gig sales on Fiverr?
1. No Stock Photos
The only time stock photos were acceptable for Fiverr gigs was back when Fiverr started. Now, I would suggest using a real photo of yourself or a custom designed image created specifically for that gig.
You can’t expect to make sales from a stock photo that thousands of other gigs are using. It’s as simple as that.
2. Create a Video
Creating a video for your gig allows you to add some personality to your product and gives you another opportunity to sell your product besides in a text description. Even if you’re shy, try creating a nice video talking about your gig, talking about what you offer, and maybe even feature a review provided by one of your customers. People like to know who they are buying from and it gives you an advantage over those who decide to go without a video.
3. Get Customers to Order in Bulk
If you don’t mind doing a bunch of work at once, then offering a free order for bulk purchasers isn’t a bad idea. A couple of free gigs might be just enough to make you look like the better deal compared to the gig next door. Just make sure that the deal isn’t too crazy so you will be able to do the work without getting flooded.
4. Short Descriptions
No one wants to read a wall of text. In a world of technology, people really don’t have an attention span anymore. So, you will need to get the details of your product into the mind of a customer as quick as possible. Creating a video helps with getting your product across fast, but you will also need to write a short yet compelling description.
5. Appreciate the Reviews
When a customer leaves a review on your gig, they are going out of their way to do it. It may not seem like a big deal, but they really didn’t have to leave the review. Reviews help you out a ton when it comes to having a successful gig. Make sure to show appreciate to those who left you a review. Showing just the smallest amount of appreciation goes a long way, and keeps a customer coming back.
Well, that’s about it. If you do at least a couple of the things above, then you should see an increase in the amount of sales you are getting. If not, then you should try investing some time into social media or blogging to advertise your gigs. Anyway, what are you doing to get more sales on Fiverr?
